“This message is from the Lord. ‘I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good
future.’” Jeremiah 29: 11
On this page you will find information about the work which Year 6 pupils are due to undertake this term, together with ways in which you can help and encourage pupils to make the most of their time at St Mary's, and to achieve the very best that they possibly can.
During the Autumn and Spring Terms we welcome parents to our Partnership Consultation Evenings which provide an opportunity for pupils and parents to meet with teachers for the purposes of discussing progress, celebrating achievements, raising any concerns, and gaining a shared understanding of the 'next steps' towards moving pupils' work to the next level. At our Summer Term Open Evening work completed during the year is displayed for parents to view and there are, of course, many events throughout the year for which parents are invited to join us.
In addition to Partnership Consultation meetings, two-way communication between teachers and parents is actively encouraged by means of the online Class Dojo system. Weekly drop-in sessions with teachers, appointments at which may be made either via Class Dojo or by telephoning the School Office, are also available to parents should specific matters arise which require to be discussed.
Drop-in sessions with Year 6 teachers are available on Fridays, between 3.30pm and 4pm.
