On this page you will find information about the work which Year 3 pupils will be undertaking during the current term, together with ways in which you can help and encourage pupils to make the most of their time at St Mary's, and to achieve the very best that they possibly can.

During the Autumn and Spring Terms we welcome parents to our Partnership Consultation Evenings which provide an opportunity for pupils and parents to meet with teachers for the purposes of discussing  progress, celebrating achievements, raising any concerns, and gaining a shared understanding of the 'next steps' towards moving pupils' work to the next level.  In the Summer Term parents receive a written, end-of-year Report, which they have the opportunity of discussing with their child(ren)'s teacher(s).  There are, of course, many events throughout the year for which parents are invited to join us.

In addition to Partnership Consultation meetings, two-way communication between teachers and parents is actively encouraged by means of the online Class Dojo system.  Weekly drop-in sessions with teachers, appointments at which may be made either via Class Dojo or by telephoning the School Office, are also available to parents should specific matters arise which require to be discussed.

Drop-in sessions with Year 3 teachers are available on Thursdays, between 3.20pm and 3.50pm.

September 2020 - We are delighted to announce that St Mary's is now launching its new Curriculum.   This will be reviewed as the year progresses.
Summer Term 2020 - With the exception of Key Worker Children, Year 3 children did not attend school during the Summer Term 2020, as schools in England were partially closed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
A programme of home-learning was provided for those pupils who were not in school.
St Mary's is currently transitioning to a new Curriculum.  Whilst the below topic webs will give an indication of what has gone before, the content will be updated at the appropriate time in the current academic year.
Please note that the above may be subject to change on occasion.  For further information about our Curriculum, please enquire via the School Office.
Parents wishing to discuss withdrawing their child(ren) from Religious Education or Relationships and Sex Education are requested to consult with the Headteacher.
