DEMAT Safeguarding Policy

At Ely St Mary’s Junior School we take the safeguarding of our children very seriously.  As such we have an in-depth Safeguarding & Child Protection Policthat can be viewed above, and a number of our staff and governors are trained in Safer Recruitment.

We ask that all visitors respect the content of our policy and inform a member of staff if they see or hear anything that they have a concern about regarding a child or group of children.

In the first instance concerns should be raised with any of our Designated Safeguarding Leads:

Miss Rachel Clarke

Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Dr Helen Atkinson

Pastoral Support Worker, and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Emma Briggs

Teacher and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Nicola Handscomb

Children's Support Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

In the absence of any of our Designated Safeguarding Leads, please refer your concerns to the most senior person within the year-group in which you are working; this person will take your concerns forward as appropriate.

All of the above-named may be contacted via the School Office.
